Immerse yourself in the South Island’s spectacular and diverse landscape. Explore the vibrant resort town of Queenstown and the proud heritage city of Dunedin “The Edinburgh of the South”. Picture yourself on a journey through high country, regions of glacial lakes, frozen rivers, snow capped peaks, rivers and valleys, dense native forests. Ride high on the Skyline Gondola. From the summit enjoy a panoramic view of Queenstown nestled far below on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, surrounded by snow-capped alps.

Travel by coach to Fiordland where you will take a cruise deep into the majestic Milford Sound. Prepare to be amazed as you take your seat on the Taieri Gorge Railway, one of the world’s great train trips which will carry you over viaducts, massive gorges and through spectacular mountain terrain.

Day 1 Queenstown – Milford – Te Anau
An early start around the southern shores of Lake Wakatipu to Lake Te Anau, then into Fiordland National Park. Pass through the pristine beech forests and the Homer Tunnel to view the majesty of Mitre Peak and Bowen falls enjoying lunch onboard a cruise on the Sound. Depart Milford Sound to return to Te Anau. Stay 1 night in Te Anau.
Day 2Te Anau - Dunedin
This morning cross the Waimea Plains towards the farming community of Gore, then continue across the rolling hill country of Southland and South Otago to Dunedin, the 'Edinburgh of the South.' Stay 1 night in Dunedin. You may want to consider staying and extra day here (additional cost).
Day 3Dunedin – Taieri Gorge - Queenstown
This morning is at your leisure for optional sightseeing. Board the Taieri Gorge train for a journey through the spectacular gorges and over historic viaducts to Pukerangi, where you join your coach for the remainder of the journey to Queenstown. Arrive in Queenstown in the late evening. You will stay two nights in Queenstown.
Day 4 At Queenstown
Today is free for you to enjoy this fabulous alpine resort - we have included the Skyline Gondola in your tour. There are dozens of optional activities from thrilling jet boat rides to leisurely lake cruises, 4WD safaris and bungy jumping.
Day 5Queenstown
Your tour concludes today upon check out from your hotel.
